Seelbach Named Armed Forces Insurance CEO

Armed Forces Insurance (AFI) President and COO Kurt Seelbach has now assumed the role of CEO.

In his new position, Seelbach is responsible for the operations of Armed Forces Insurance Exchange and its wholly owned subsidiaries, Armed Forces Insurance Corp. and Armed Forces Insurance Agency. He also is responsible for assisting the chairman with coordinating the activities and agenda of the board of directors to ensure effective governance and oversight of business operations. Seelbach's duties include providing guidance to the executive leadership team as well as representing the company to subscribers, employees, external regulatory agencies, rating agencies, trade associations and business partners.

Seelbach joined AFI as SVP and COO in 2008. He was promoted to president and COO in 2009. From 1998 to 2007, he was EVP of sales and marketing at a national property/casualty insurance company serving a broad customer base of businesses in the horticultural industry. Prior to that role, he served as that company’s CFO for 12 years.
