Selective Appoints 2 New IT Execs

Selective Insurance Co. of America appointed Robert McKenna as SVP, enterprise architecture and information security, and Eric Thiessen has been appointed as VP, information management. The two were promoted as part of a series of five new appointments by the group's subsidiary.

McKenna joined Selective in 2003 as an IT network specialist and has since held various positions within the company's IT operations; he most recently served as VP, infrastructure architecture and engineering since 2010.

Thiessen joined Selective in July 1995 as a programmer and has held various positions within the company's IT operations, before becoming AVP, information and business intelligence architecture in 2008.

The other three appointments include:

Jeffrey Beck appointed to SVP, government and regulatory affairs. Beck joined Selective in 2007 as VP, government affairs. Prior to Selective, he was the head of state government relations for Aetna.

Cassie Masone appointed to VP, flood operations. Masone joined Selective in 1997 as an auditor in Selective's Internal Audit department. Since that time, she has held various positions within the company, including operations analyst and reinsurance manager, before becoming AVP of flood operations in 2010.

Sean Ritson has been appointed as AVP, actuarial pricing. Ritson joined Selective in 2011 as a senior actuarial analyst and most recently served as actuarial manager. Previously, he was an actuarial consultant for the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
