Social Networking Site Expands to Life/Annuity Carriers

CSC has seen the popularity of its WikonnecT business-to-business social networking site rise since its introduction to the P&C industry last fall—it has grown to 8,000 users from nearly 700 insurance companies interacting across more than 100 communities. Given the site popularity, the company is now extending participation to its life insurance and annuity clients.

"By opening the WikonnecT social networking community to our life and annuity clients, we are continuing to foster strong peer-to-peer client networks and are hearing positive feedback," says Michael Risley, president of the Life and Annuity Division within CSC's Financial Services Group.

WikonnecT is a customized Web site where CSC employees, clients and industry experts can interact and obtain actionable solutions to industry or software needs. It runs on a Sun Microsystems infrastructure, and is designed to assist insurers seeking peer-to-peer advice on how to best implement and support their CSC systems. It also can serve as a source of information for carriers undergoing a request-for-proposal process.

Members of CSC's insurance client community may access WikonnecT through a secure log-in at https://wikonnect.csc.com. Life insurance or annuity firm representatives who wish to participate may contact their CSC account managers.
