StoneRiver Unveils Stream

StoneRiver, a provider of strategic core operational solutions for the insurance industry, announced the release of StoneRiver Stream. An integrated solution designed to enable carriers to be leaner, faster and smarter, StoneRiver Stream‘s components also can be used individually.

StoneRiver Stream suite components generally available in the first half of the year include Customer Stream, Distribution Stream and Billing Stream - Direct. All are built on the company’s services-oriented Insurance Integration Platform (IIP), which opens up new business, operational and technical opportunities for carriers by providing easier business process automation, integration, and a rich user interface framework, the company says. The also platform allows Stream products to scale for business expansion so carriers can remain lean. StoneRiver expects that Collections Stream and Billing Stream - Agency will be available by year-end, with policy, claims and reinsurance components rolling out subsequently.

“Stream handles multiple corporations and companies for all lines of business,” says Rodney Griffin, SVP of product management at StoneRiver – Insurance Solutions. “The emphasis is on speed with straight through processing, Web quote and submission, built-in work management, and more. Business intelligence, predictive analytics and a rules engine all help carriers become smarter in the way they operate. Navigation is easier with a new state-of-the-art user experience designed by professional human factors experts.”

Stream is built on an advanced, model-driven service-oriented architecture that embeds a full enterprise service bus in the system, says StoneRiver – Insurance Solutions President Gary Sherne. “The open nature of Stream, plus the rich business functionality, makes the solution truly ‘open for business,” he adds. “The new offerings will continue to emphasize configuration tools and business rules, while introducing true plug-and-play services for the first time in P&C administration solutions.”
