The U.S. business group of Sun Life Financial Inc. has expanded its online private exchange applications to include Voluntary STD, LTD and Accident insurance. Sun Life is partnering with Liazon, an operator of private benefits exchanges.
The additional offerings offer Sun Life customers a suite of voluntary private exchange applications. Sun Life already uses Liazon’s Bright Choices Exchange to offer voluntary life/accidental death and dismemberment, and critical illness/cancer insurance. Bright Choices Exchange helps employers set predictable budgets, said Liazon.
Sun Life Voluntary, STD and LTD and Accident is available on the Liazon private exchange platform currently, with Nov. 1, 2014, as the first effective date. Bright Choices includes employee access ensured by cloud computing infrastructure and security protection; assistance that helps drive benefits selections through decision support and education resources; and expense tracking tools.
