The Hanover Names Gross Regional VP in Massachusetts

Worcester, Mass. — The Hanover Insurance Group Inc., a super regional property/ casualty insurance company, has announced the appointment of William Gross as regional VP for commercial lines. In this role, Gross will oversee all aspects of commercial lines business for the company's Massachusetts territory. He will work out of The Hanover's Worcester, Mass. office.

"With his skill and experience in management, marketing, strategic planning and financial analysis and, especially his commitment to strengthen our relationships with winning agent partners, I know that Bill will be a valuable asset to our agents' businesses and to our own, as we compete and win together in Massachusetts," said Richard Lavey, regional president of The Hanover's Northeast Region.

Prior to joining The Hanover, Gross was with The Hartford, where he served as regional VP for the company's New England region, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Previously, Gross worked in marketing and management positions with Core West Bank, Philadelphia, and with Transamerica Corp., in that company's Orlando branch office.
