The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) says estimates for the number of vehicles damaged as a result of Sandy are now at a total of 250,000 damaged vehicles,
NICB points out that these insured loss figures may change as additional claims are received and processed. Moreover, they represent a range of damage—anywhere from minor paint scratches from flying debris to total losses.
