Utica National Names New CFO, Treasurer

Utica National Insurance Group named Raymond E. Cox as senior VP, CFO and treasurer. Cox is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting, financial reporting, investments, tax, planning and budgeting, credit and collections, procurement, accounts payable, and facilities.

Utica says Cox brings 33 years of insurance and reinsurance experience to the position, with a background in finance and accounting. He also has managed reinsurance intermediaries and rent-a-captives, and has served on the boards of several insurance and insurance-related services companies.

Cox earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate Insurance Accounting & Finance (AIAF) professional designations. Utica adds that he also has earned an Insurance Executive Development Program certificate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania/American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He is a licensed insurance producer in the state of New Jersey.
