Verisk, Insurity Announce Strategic Vendor Partnerships

Verisk Insurance Solutions has announced a strategic partnership with Driveway Software to develop a smartphone telematics app for insurers and automakers.

The product will combine Driveway’s mobile telematics platform for data collection and driver engagement with Verisk’s Data Exchange, launched in July, which will apply driver risk scores. Users will also have the option of submitting driver data to insurers through Data Exchange and be rewarded with discounts on premiums, according to the companies.

"The Exchange provides automakers a one-stop solution to help their customers get the benefits of UBI [usage-based insurance]," said Mike Simmons, CEO of Driveway Software, in a statement. "Rather than building and managing relationships with hundreds of insurers, automakers can have a single point of contact in Verisk, which has long-standing relationships throughout the industry."

Insurity, L&T Infotech

Core systems provider Insurity today announced its own vendor partnership with IT services company L&T Infotech.

Insurity recently completed its 90-day implementation of LTI's MOSAIC Automation platform, which will provide end-to-end quality assurance services to the vendor, as part of a long-term managed services engagement agreement signed in July.

The move is said to impact Insurity’s test strategy, automation capabilities and test execution practices, while reducing the time it takes to bring new products to market, the companies said.

“LTI brings deep insurance domain expertise and mature program management skills that help us meet high expectations of our clients consistently,” said Bob Larew, chief operating officer, Insurity.

Insurity’s client list includes Allstate, Travelers Insurance and Nationwide, among other notable property & casualty companies.
