Vertafore, a Bothell, Wash.-based provider of software and services to the insurance industry, announced that Arizona-based Scottsdale Insurance Co., an excess and surplus (E&S) and specialty lines carriers, will license its Vertafore PolicyIssuance product. Web-based and built to ACORD XML standards, PolicyIssuance is designed for general agents to issue policies, and to eliminate redundant keystrokes.
Scottsdale Insurance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide, says it selected PolicyIssuance to enable its general agents to have access to its policy forms library, receive real-time forms updates and gain improved efficiency by saving keystrokes.
Mountain West Farm Bureau Taps Alliance
The Innovation Group plc, a U.K.-based provider of business process outsourcing and technology solutions to the insurance, fleet and automotive industries, today announced the successful implementation of Insurer Analytics, a component of the Innovation Insurer suite, by Santa Clarita, Calif.-based Western Computer Services Inc. (WCSI). WCSI's implementation is the first of several parallel efforts to implement Innovation Insurer components including Insurer Policy and Insurer Claims for WCSI's customer, Mountain West Farm Bureau, as part of their business transformation initiative.
The initial implementation aligned Insurer Analytic's out-of-the-box reporting functionality with data from Mountain West's legacy claims application. Future phases will include expanding the reporting, as well as using Insurer Analytics policy reports to complement their Insurer Policy and Insurer Claims implementations.
The insurance-specific out-of-the-box capabilities, reporting and KPI's allowed WCSI to quickly complete large portions of the data mapping, ETL, and report definition. As a result of the implementation, Innovation Group says Mountain West's time to develop a report decreased from an average of 30 days to a day or less-a more than 300% improvement.
