Workers' comp insurer LWCC names new CIO

Louisiana-based workers' compensation insurer LWCC has hired Kappie Mumphrey as CIO.

Mumphrey last held the position of senior director in the CIOs office for CB&I, which provides technology infrastructure for construction and energy companies. She also has worked at the Louisiana State University's AgCenter.

Her experience developing and implementing IT governance processes in several different industries, as well as managing large-scale, enterprise-wide application implementation projects, attracted her to the insurer, LWCC says.

“Kappie’s experience and reputation as an IT leader make her a great fit for LWCC,” company president and CEO Kristin Wall says in a statement. “As a company, we have many projects in front of us, such as replacing our legacy systems, and at the same time, expanding our digital footprint with our key stakeholders. We are excited to take this important step and pleased to have her on board as we continue to innovate in the interest of serving Louisiana businesses.”
