Zurich Expands Specialty, E&O Business

Zurich North America Commercial announced that it has raised the available capacity for its specialty errors & omissions business from $10 million to $25 million, and removed revenue restrictions for primary business. Zurich also is broadening its targeted markets to focus on non-licensed professionals in order to offer its products to a wider range of companies, from smaller organizations up to the largest commercial enterprises.

“By increasing our capacity and broadening our appetite, we are demonstrating our long-term commitment to the E&O market,” said Dan Riordan, president of Zurich’s Specialty Products business unit.

Lori Bailey, head of professional liability for Zurich North America Commercial, will lead the E&O team as it transitions into the expanded operation. According to Bailey, Zurich has combined the units that write this business in order to offer customers continuity of service across all revenue segments. She believes that, coupled with Zurich's increased capacity and broader appetite, will enable them to serve more customers than in the past.

Zurich’s Specialty E&O group delivers numerous professional liability products and services, including the enhanced Zurich Pro Plus, which offers broad coverage and options such as eDiscovery services; Zurich Security & Privacy Protection, which helps customers manage the many exposures associated with data breaches; and Employed Lawyers Select coverage for employed lawyers in businesses and not-for-profit organizations of all sizes.
