Zurich Names Two Regional Managers

Zurich today announced that two new regional managers have joined its North American Environmental team. Richard Calvert was named manager for the South Central region, and Warren Puffer was appointed manager for the Northwest region.

Calvert, who prior to joining Zurich was a director in risk services with Aon Environmental Services, has nearly 30 years of experience within the insurance industry. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing environmental business in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. Calvert will report to Charles O'Donnell, regional VP, South Central Region.

“Richard’s substantial industry knowledge and experience, which spans environmental insurance, loss control, risk and underwriting, will serve him well as he works to grow Zurich’s environmental business in the South Central states,” said O’Donnell.

Puffer has more than 17 years of experience in the insurance industry, and was most recently a senior underwriter in Zurich's New York office. Prior to joining Zurich in 2008, Puffer held roles in underwriting management, brokerage, casualty underwriting and claims with various organizations. In his new role, Puffer will be responsible for developing environmental business in Northern California, Northern Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska,and Hawaii. He will report to Soyoung Lee, regional VP for the Northwest Region.

“Warren’s knowledge and experience in the environmental sector position is an asset to Zurich as we look to expand our business in the Northwest Region,” said Lee.
