Zurich Sees Niche in Global Energy

Zurich North America’s Risk Engineering unit announced today that it has created a new Global Energy team to service the needs of global energy property/casualty customers in North America. The team will be led by Sylvia Layton, head of Risk Engineering, North America Global Energy.

“We have a wealth of knowledge within Risk Engineering, and by bringing together our most experienced global energy risk engineers, Zurich will be better aligned with our customers’ organizations and be able to better leverage all of Risk Engineering’s resources and tools,” said Armand Fernandez, Zurich in North America’s chief risk engineering officer. “Our team is made up of industry specialists from areas such as oil/petrochemical, mining, powergen, marine, property and casualty, and this insight positions us to deliver a holistic approach to a broad range of customers.”

Fernandez said that the collective experience of the team in the energy industry and on energy-specific risk management services exceeds 300 years. He also highlighted the North American focus of the team, which is closely aligned with Zurich’s efforts to enhance a worldwide network of Global Energy Risk Engineering services.
