Some 'Cloudy' Job Descriptions

We've been discussing the impact of cloud computing on insurance operations, but what about the people who will be running these systems? What kinds of special skills are needed?

A new survey of 500 IT and business professionals just released by CompTIA, the IT vendor industry association, finds that more than three out of five companies report they are adding new types of skillsets to their IT departments to keep up with growing cloud requirements. Skills now in demand include private cloud developers and administrators, departmental liaisons, integration specialists, cloud architects, and compliance specialists, the report states.

A recent perusal of some of the leading IT job sites, including Dice.com, as well as some individual insurance company sites, turns up exactly these types of opportunities emerging within the insurance and financial services sector.
