1st Guard Picks Pitney Bowes' Geospatial Claims Software

Specialty trucking insurer 1st Guard has selected geolocational software from Pitney Bowes Software, a customer data, analytics and communications management company, to help streamline its operations, and provide customer and claims service to its policyholders.

The company uses Pitney Bowes’ Spectrum OnDemand solution to validate addresses for policies, precise tax jurisdiction calculations and customer mapping, over a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform.

Spectrum powers the claims portion of 1st Guard’s iPhone app for truck drivers, TRUCKER1, says Pitney Bowes. TRUCKER1 allows drivers to access their coverage information on-the-go in an effort to solve claims quickly, regardless of the time or the location of the incident. The app uses Pitney Bowes’ software to verify the location of the incident, allowing the claims adjustor to have all of the details on hand to settle the claim efficiently.

Pitney Bowes says the service also provides the 1st Guard sales team with prospecting information, pinpointing the location of current and potential customers within a certain radius from a specific geographical location. This helps capitalize on potential business opportunities and strengthen relationships.
