4 Insurers Recognized as Novarica’s 2013 Research Council Impact Award Winners

Novarica presented its second annual Research Council Impact Awards in New York today to honor best practices in insurance industry IT initiatives and strategy. The winners (one each in the categories of Practice, Quick Hit, Expansion and Transformation), were selected by a direct vote of more than 50 insurer CIO and senior IT executive members of the Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council.

PRACTICE CATEGORY: Great American

Great American unleashed employees' potential for innovation through gathering small teams from across the insurer’s IT staff. Each team works for six weeks to solve a business problem using technology. To date, approximately seven teams have cycled through the process.
