Accenture Unveils P&C Suite

Accenture has unveiled an integrated P&C software suite, bringing together Accenture Claim Components and Accenture Duck Creek’s policy software.

According to the vendor, the more comprehensive suite enables insurers of all sizes to benefit from interoperable software modules, encompassing configuring products, transacting lines of business and processing claims. The software is based on a Microsoft .NET platform, and the company hopes it will reduce implementation time and risk by improving the accuracy of claims handling and underwriting.

“The integration of our P&C software offers greater flexibility to our clients by providing a suite of software with modules that can be implemented individually or as part of a broader migration strategy,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Software for P&C insurance.

The suite includes policy administration, claims and billing applications. Other components include rating, rules, product definition and configuration as well as product templates and sales enablement tools. This is the latest announcement—set off by the purchasing Duck Creek—in an attempt to offer a more robust software platform with multiple delivery models.
