ACE Group has named Hendrik-Jan Wiersema as a global client executive. ACE’s Global Client Executive practice assists clients and brokers in accessing ACE’s products and services. Wiersema will work with ACE’s global clients and distribution partners, with a particular focus on clients based in the Benelux region.
ACE says Wiersema has more than 30 years of experience and was previously business development manager and client executive for ACE’s major accounts in the region. Prior, he spent four years as ACE’s regional head of energy in Continental Europe and five years leading the property team in the Benelux countries. Before joining ACE in 2002, he had underwriting and development roles at a number of large insurers, including RSA Global and HDI-Gerling.
In his new position, Wiersema will retain responsibility for major account clients in the Benelux, says ACE. He will continue to be based in ACE’s Rotterdam and Antwerp offices, reporting to Benelux Country President Ron Verhulsdonck and Sales and Distribution Director for Continental Europe, Patricia Goudarzi.
