AIG Japan has announced plans to implement Guidewire's PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, which will be deployed together, starting with a homeowners product at American Home Assurance Co., Japan Branch (American Home Japan), an AIG subsidiary insurer.
PolicyCenter is an underwriting and policy administration system designed to enable improved efficiency, while BillingCenter is a billing and receivables management system built on the core design principles of automation, control and flexibility. According to Guidewire, the solutions are designed to help insurers get products to market faster, introduce distribution channels and billing methods, provide a single view of customers across the systems, and reduce the cost of IT maintenance.
