(Bloomberg) -- American International Group Inc. promoted Charlie Shamieh to chief executive officer of life, health and disability insurance as the company reshapes management after the departure of Jay Wintrob, who ran the life and retirement operation.
Shamieh will report to Kevin Hogan, CEO of consumer insurance, and will switch from the post of corporate chief actuary, New York-based AIG said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
