Applied Systems Inc., a provider of insurance software, has acquired Insurecom, an insurance software and connectivity solutions company in the United Kingdom. Insurecom will operate as Applied Systems UK.
Applied and Insurecom had been partners for more than 10 years; Insurecom was the distributor of Applied TAM, an agency and broker management system, to insurance brokerages in the United Kingdom. By acquiring Insurecom, Applied Systems will directly service and support Applied TAM UK users.
Jeff Purdy, SVP of international operations, Applied Systems, will oversee Applied Systems UK, working directly with the Insurecom management team.
Applied plans to begin introducing its additional insurance software products that are currently used in the United States and Canada to the market to further automate the insurance lifecycle in the United Kingdom.
