AXA Equitable Launches Super Apps

A week after Chubb and Amica Insurance introduced new mobile application offerings, life and annuities provider AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. announced the launch of its financial Super Apps for BlackBerry smartphones.

AXA's new Retirement Income and Life Insurance interactive calculator apps are intended to help people plan for the future by estimating income from retirement savings and the appropriate amount of life insurance coverage. The two BlackBerry apps also can synchronize with BlackBerry address book contacts, enabling users to directly call or e-mail their financial professionals from within the application, according to AXA.

"People expect on-demand access to information," says Connie O'Brien, SVP of Internet Strategy and Development for AXA Equitable. "We're very pleased to launch these applications for BlackBerry users, as we believe this is a powerful way to bring their financial futures to their fingertips."

The applications also are designed to enable BlackBerry users to:

Automatically receive reminders on financial goals or meetings with their AXA advisers through integration with the BlackBerry Calendar app

Easily share the apps with friends and family through social channels like Facebook

AXA previously launched apps for the iPhone that provide mobile users with access to interactive calculators addressing college savings, retirement shortfall, life expectancy, life insurance and more.
