INTELLICORP ANNOUNCES SSN VERIFICATION PRODUCT

ISO subsidiary IntelliCorp, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of background checks, employment screening and drug testing services, released consent-based SSN verification (CBSV). A new product offering, CBSV provides information regarding a subject's name and Social Security number (SSN).

CBSV is designed to verify whether a name and SSN match the data in the Social Security Administration's (SSA) records. The information provided is matched against the SSA's master SSN file, using the individual's SSN and name.

The SSA also provides a death record if appropriate. In addition to the verification provided by the SSA, IntelliCorp returns possible aliases associated with the subject's address history from its criminal database. CBSV does require that a special consent form be signed by the subject prior to running the report.
