Dallas-based BenefitMall, an online exchange for buyers, sellers and providers of employee benefits for small businesses, completed a $17 million third round of equity funding. The company plans to use the investment to enhance its technology and services and expand its geographic presence. Each of BenefitMall's current investors-Austin Ventures, Humana Ventures, Morgan Stanley Venture Partners, and Technology Crossover Ventures-participated in the latest round, along with new investors MetLife and BMI Fund.
