Blue Cross of Minnesota Names New CIO, SVP

Eagan, Minn. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has announced two new executive officers: Jay Levine as SVP and CIO, and Colleen Connors as SVP, human resources and facilities.

Levine will be responsible for the company’s overall technology strategies, and assuring that systems support all product and business strategies. In Connors' new role, she will be responsible for all functions within the human resources department, including organizational development, learning and knowledge management, human resource consulting, diversity, compensation, benefits and human resources information systems and also facilities management across Blue Cross.

“Both Jay and Colleen are incredibly knowledgeable in their fields and will be great assets to Blue Cross,” says Pat Geraghty, Blue Cross president and CEO. “We are excited to have them aboard as we continue our work of making a healthy difference in people’s lives.”

Prior to joining Blue Cross, Levine has more than 25 years of experience building and leading software development groups and information technology organizations. Prior to joining Blue Cross, he served as EVP of product development and CTO for Minneapolis-based Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, working on compliance and analytic solutions for the banking, mortgage, insurance and securities markets.

Connors previously served as SVP and global head of talent strategy at The Bank of New York Mellon. In that role, she was responsible for setting the overall talent management strategy and leading teams responsible for recruiting, training and organizational development. Prior to that, she also worked in human resources leadership positions for Aetna Healthcare and Prudential Healthcare.
