Capital BlueCross Names Aetna Vet New CIO

Capital BlueCross has hired Scott Frank as the company's new CIO. Frank last was executive director of IT for Aetna/Coventry Health Care.

Frank is charged with "leading technology advancements to improve customer experience," according to the Capital BlueCross announcement. 

"As technology advances, Capital BlueCross is constantly evolving to bring the best and most user-friendly products and services to our customers," said Mark Caron, EVP, business platforms and solutions, Capital BlueCross -- and the company's former CIO himself. "The knowledge and expertise that Scott brings to the table will be a tremendous asset in helping us to implement industry best practices and stay ahead of the curve. With his leadership, we will continue to drive our technology platform forward, which is a critical component of delivering an exceptional customer experience."
