Harleysville, Pa. – Harleysville Insurance Inc. has appointed Jonathan Griggs as vice president of insurance management systems, and named Brahm Sharma as vice president of resource management.
In his new position, Griggs oversees Harleysville’s policy administration systems, while Sharma is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company’s mainframe systems, says Akhil Tripathi, Harleysville senior vice president and chief information officer.
“The expertise that Jon and Brahm bring to Harleysville will certainly strengthen our ability to support our agents’ efforts to write profitable business with us,” Tripathi says.

Griggs joins Harleysville from BearingPoint in Chicago, where he served as a senior manager. Before that, he was vice president and chief technology officer of AQS Inc. in Hartland, Wis. He has also held IT leadership positions with CastleBay Consulting, IBM, Fiserv and Commtron.
Sharma comes from a job as a senior manager at BearingPoint in New York. Previously, he was vice president and IT leader at Marsh & McLennan in Princeton, N.J. He led IT projects at New York Life Insurance, GMAC Insurance, Continental Insurance (now CNA) and Credit Suisse First Boston.
