ALPHARETTA, Ga.--ChoicePoint today announced its acquisition of Priority Data Systems, based in Omaha, Neb., a provider of comparative rating software solutions to the independent insurance agency market.  Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The addition of Priority Data Systems further strengthens ChoicePoint's position as the personal lines industry's premier provider of the most complete and integrated array of insurance products and services to companies and agents.

"Priority Data Systems' 25 years of service to the independent insurance market, technology leadership and strong commitment to customer service are a great complement to ChoicePoint," said Richard Collier, vice president, ChoicePoint Property & Casualty personal lines.

"As we bolster our leadership position in the industry, ChoicePoint continues to seek out proven businesses and models that augment our core business and services," said Jeffrey Glazer, vice president who leads ChoicePoint's Insurance Services group.  "We are excited to have Priority Data Systems as part of our organization."

"Priority is very excited to combine our leading edge technology and customer service with ChoicePoint's superior data and solutions," said Marcie Flynn, president of Priority Data Systems.  "Mutually, we will empower agents and companies to make faster, more accurate pricing and underwriting decisions."

The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on ChoicePoint's financial results.  The company does not expect the acquisition to be dilutive to earnings.
