Chubb Receives Claim Management Award

Warren, N.J. — The Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. received a 2008 Claims Management Quality Award from Greenwich Associates, a Greenwich, Conn.-based consulting firm in institutional financial services.

The award is based on a study of 714 risk managers that concluded that an insurance company’s claim management process is a significant determinant of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

“The insurers that receive the highest ratings on The Greenwich Associates Carrier Quality Index use an in-depth understanding of their clients’ needs to not only help companies minimize losses associated with their claims, but also to help them avoid claims in the first place,” says Greenwich associate consultant Bill Bruno. “Best-in-class insurance companies such as Chubb view claims management not as a one-off event but as part of an ongoing process of loss prevention. A quick settlement gets management and the company as a whole refocused on business operations.”
