Bloomfield, Conn. - Juan Conde joined Bloomfield, Conn.-based CIGNA HealthCare as CIO. He is responsible for the IT strategy and delivery of CIGNA's consumer-focused technology solutions.
This newly created position reports to the executive vice president of Enterprise Service and Information Technology for CIGNA Corp., and is a part of the CIGNA HealthCare senior management team.
Conde's focus will be the effective use of information technology to help improve the health, well being and security of CIGNA HealthCare members by supporting the company's portfolio of health services products, self-service capabilities and its consumer-centric service model.
Conde has spent much of his 20-year career managing financial company IT organizations in industries where consumerism is a way of life, including: Sungard Capital Markets, UBS Warburg, and most recently, serving as senior vice president and CIO of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in New York.

Conde received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of William and Mary and is a member of the not-for-profit, non-partisan organization Business Executives for National Security.
