CNA hires former Liberty Mutual exec as new CIO

Commercial insurer CNA has hired Jane Possell as its CIO.

Possell last was VP for U.S. Digital and Business Insurance Technology at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Before that, she was a managing director at Accenture. In her new role, she'll report to CNA's recently minted EVP and COO Michael Costonis, also late of Accenture.

“Jane’s proven success and deep experience in Insurance and Financial Services, coupled with her proven track record in aligning technology with business strategy, make her the ideal candidate for Chief Information Officer,” Costonis said. “By continuing to develop CNA capability and work within our best-in-class technology partners, CNA will continue to meet the current and future needs of our customers and colleagues.”
