CoreLogic President and CEO Anand Nallathambi died unexpectedly March 2 after a short illness. He was 55.
Nallathambi had been on medical leave from the data and analytics company for about two weeks, according to the Orange County Register. He is survived by his wife and two children.
"Anand led CoreLogic from its inception as a public company in June 2010 to a high-performing leader in the housing market," said Paul Folino, chairman of the board, in a written statement. "Anand was an outstanding leader, and we will miss his many talents, energy and can-do spirit. Our thoughts are with Anand’s family and friends."
CoreLogic's board has named Chief Operating Officer Frank Martell as acting president and CEO of the company, which is based in Irvine, Calif.
Nallathambi held various executive leadership positions at First Advantage Corp. and First American Corp. prior to joining CoreLogic in June 2010.
He also was an active volunteer with many organizations including the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Operation HOPE and the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at California State University in Fullerton, Calif.
