CSC will soon expand its offerings to include business process services for full lifecycle adjudication and payment management for disability income (DI) claims.
“For any carrier that is either in the DI business, or wants to get in the DI business but doesn’t have the specialized skill set in their employee base, they can now get into that product line through outsourcing,” said Nancy Bass, VP, Americas Insurance Marketing for CSC.
“Many carriers would like to get into some of the niche products like DI, but you have to have that specialized employee base. Now we have the 50 individuals. That’s all they do. They do it for 30 carriers already. And the BPO means you can get in quick, you can get in cheap, and you don’t have to buy a piece of software and implement it,” added Bass.
The addition of this staff complements CSC’s BPO expertise and industry domain knowledge, bringing industry management of medical complexities, disability eligibility certifications and ongoing payment claims. The company is scheduled to announce the signing of its first client for these services on May 22.
