Policy Print as a Service, a cloud-based business-process-as-a-service option, is an electronic document delivery and storage that aims to eliminate paper-based transactions and accelerate electronic delivery of documents to agents and policyholders. CSC says the offering expands its current e-delivery capabilities, in support of carriers’ adoption of modern processes and management applications.
Policy Print as a Service converts policy files into PDFs, according to CSC, allowing agents and policyholders to access securely stored files via a link delivered by email. With this technology, carriers are intended to be able to add support to their existing distribution channels and for new channels by leveraging existing web portal investments through flexible interfaces. Policy Print as a Service can be functioning in 30 days, according to a company statement. It is available to carriers using policy administration systems that produce Printer Command Language files.
