CSC Releases Administrative Software

CSC has released the Java version of POINT IN, which has enhanced configuration tools for P&C insurers seeking a modern, full-featured, platform-flexible policy administration system. CSC says POINT IN supports end-to-end processing for all lines of insurance coverage, providing clients an option that runs on the Microsoft Windows platform with a SQL Server database, in addition to the currently supported IBM and Oracle/Sun Microsystems platforms.

Two multinational firms currently are implementing the Java version of POINT IN for Windows for improved productivity and increased speed to market, with enhanced configuration tools that enable carriers to create their own rules or use one of the hundreds that are pre-built into the system. With improved graphical interfaces, these tools streamline and accelerate the introduction of new products and lines of business, as well as entry into additional states, CSC says.
