Deloitte’s Work with Insurer Contributes to Award

Deloitte’s work with American International Group Inc. (AIG) and Interbrand recently won awards from the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF).

Deloitte says that, in the 2012 AMCF Awards Transaction/Event-Driven category, its professionals helped the Operations and Systems group of AIG separate and divest more than 40 different business units – all at the same time and without disrupting the operation of the remaining AIG core.

Deloitte adds that, in the Corporate Social Responsibility category, its professionals helped Interbrand extend its existing annual Best Global Brands ranking with the development of an extensive new ranking methodology on environmental sustainability performance for its Best Global Green Brands list, which launched in 2011.

Deloitte says it also was a finalist in the categories of Business Strategy, Developing Markets, Finance and Risk Management, and Technology Transformation. The 2012 AMCF Awards winners were selected by an independent panel of judges comprised of experienced executives from business, government, journalism and academia. Selection criteria, Deloitte adds, included commitment to high quality and professionalism; quality of client relationships; application of management skills and knowledge; achievement of measurable and qualitative results; and clarity of language.
