Enhanced GrangeAgent.com Emphasizes Technology, Increased Functionality

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Grange Insurance is introducing a new extranet Web site for its independent insurance agents featuring technology to streamline business processes. The site also offers comprehensive functionality that helps agents manage the sales process and their Grange policies. The new Web site, http://www.grangeagent.com , is being rolled out to Grange's 1,200 independent agencies.

"Through GrangeAgent.com, our independent agents have a tool to support continuous growth and increase the level of service they provide policyholders," said Phil Urban, President and CEO of Grange Insurance. "This enhanced site exemplifies our belief in EODB Ease of Doing Business because it combines so many resources and applications that agents need in running their business every day."

The core of the site is Grange AgentWare, a suite of business solutions that enables agents to perform several automated processes and functions. The application includes GAINWeb, Grange's policy quoting, issuance and policy servicing system for personal, commercial and life insurance. Agents also can find claims information, view policy documents, make payments, access forms and read current (and past) policy manuals. In addition, Grange AgentWare Express, a network bridge, allows agents to use their own agency management system to directly access the Grange system to conduct business quickly and easily.

"Grange AgentWare helps me serve my customers efficiently and effectively," said Terry Kelso, principal, Associated Insurance Agencies. "When a customer has a claim, needs to alter a policy or wants more information about another product Grange offers, that information is available in a matter of a few key strokes. This tool is an excellent example of the Ease of Doing Business with Grange."

Grange used a 360-degree process to design the Web site and the system, asking agents for their input every step of the way. The result is a user friendly tool for both customer service representatives (CSRs) and agency principals.

Through GrangeAgent.com, CSRs have one-click access to most AgentWare tools allowing them to efficiently service policyholders. The site also offers a special area for agency principals which provides access to confidential management reports and earnings statements, facilitating more effective business management and development.

"The ability to quickly access whatever an agent or CSR may need via GrangeAgent.com makes our agency more responsive to the needs of our clients," Kelso said.  "And the reporting tools available to me allow me to run my business more productively and ultimately, more profitably."
