P&C software provider FirstBest Systems Inc. has released UMS Express for workers’ comp insurers.
The vendor is hoping the software release will expand its presence in providing underwriting management systems to mono-line and multi-line commercial carriers.
FirstBest says UMS Express provides carriers with an underwriting management system that enables them to drive growth and improve underwriting profitability, enter new markets and deliver new products, as well as serve agents and brokers. The solution provides a pre-packaged underwriting workflow and access to data and collaboration tools.
The ACORD-based solution can be deployed in a matter of months, according to FirstBest.
The system provides underwriting worksheets; underwriting workflow and rules engine; access to third-party data and reports; tasks and reminders; automated letters of authority and underwriting referrals; quote, bind and policy issuance processes; and dashboards and management reports.
