Florida Association, Tropics Software Strike Deal

The Florida Workers' Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (FWCJUA), the provider of workers' compensation insurance to Florida's residual market employers, selected Tropics Software Technologies,a software company specializing in workers' compensation systems, to implement its new agency and policy administration systems. FWCJUA will be utilizing the new system to offer agencies additional capabilities, such as more robust Web-based application submission, on-line inquiry functionality and integrated document management.

"After a thorough evaluation of software vendors servicing the insurance industry, we felt that Tropics Software Technologies' expertise in workers' compensation, coupled with the breadth of functionality in their software, made them the right fit for our business," said Laura Torrence, FWCJUA's executive director. "We believe that the user-friendly and flexible technology that exists in Tropics' software suite will allow us to continue to exceed our goals of providing top-notch service to agencies and Florida employers."

"We are excited to be adding FWCJUA to our family of workers' compensation clients," said Mike Mobar, president and CEO of Tropics Software Technologies. "Having implemented our software for nearly 25 workers' compensation entities in 36 states, we feel that our experience in helping similar organizations optimize their processes through technology will allow FWCJUA to continue its tradition of providing an excellent experience for agencies and Florida employers."
