General Casualty Introduces Online Quoting, Submission for Business Auto

Sun Prairie, Wis. - Agents across General Casualty's Midwestern and Northeastern operating territory can now quote, submit and bind business auto coverage through the company's Web site. This new capability is designed to complement the company's existing online quoting/submission systems for its commercial marketplace (BOP), contractors and workers' compensation products, making it possible to submit an entire account via the Internet.

The systems work together so there's no dual entry of client information. Business Auto Online enables General Casualty agents to quote a single vehicle or a large fleet. Class and territory codes are built in so agents don't need to consult their rating manuals, and the system only offers valid coverage combinations (based on garaging state). It also produces all necessary forms to support a new business application, including coverage selection or rejection forms and state-specific notifications.

General Casualty is also in the process of rolling out a personal lines quoting and submission system, which became available to Wisconsin agents in late February and will be introduced in its other operating states in coming months.
