Guardian Life Insurance Co. of America, a mutual life insurer and provider of employee benefits, has upgraded its Anytime Mobile App. The app allows members to view, email or print dental and vision member identification cards directly from their iPhone and Android smartphones.
Guardian says the Anytime Mobile App has been helpful to Guardian members looking for a dentist or vision provider in the network. Members can view an image of their ID cards and share the cards with their providers via email or print to a wireless printer. Traditional plastic ID cards are no longer needed. The free app is available via Google's Play Store and Apple's App Store—or directly through Guardian's own website.
Other app capabilities, Guardian adds, include search options for the provider’s name and location, interactive maps, directions and contact information for in-network dental and vision care providers. Members can choose from dental PPO networks and multiple eye care providers through both of Guardian’s vision networks, VSP and Davis Vision.
