Guy Carpenter Releases New Risk Decision-Making Tool

Guy Carpenter & Co., a risk and reinsurance company, has released MetaRisk 7.2, the latest version of its risk and capital management decision-making tool. The MetaRisk 7.2 platform is designed to enable insurers to better understand the drivers of risk, assess their options, and deploy their capital accordingly, according to Guy Carpenter.

Enhancements include direct links to EQECAT catastrophe models, bulk import for event sets, catastrophe model blending, reserve scenarios and reserve loss cause, and asset reinvestment strategies.

MetaRisk intends to provide users with the ability to make decisions that expand the value of their business, says Guy. The platform is integrated to deliver underwriting, reserve, catastrophe, credit and investment risk capabilities.

Guy adds that MetaRisk is designed to allow a company to communicate its risk processes and decision rationale to all constituents and enables users to meet the demands of enterprise risk management and impending Solvency II requirements.
