Hamilton Re, the P&C reinsurer of Hamilton Insurance Group, has named Susan Steinhoff as SVP, property.
Steinhoff will report to chief underwriting officer, property, Tim Duffin, and will begin her new position on Nov. 4. Steinhoff is experienced in working with a broad range of catastrophe treaties, said Hamilton Re.
Steinhoff joins Hamilton Re with more than 15 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, most recently at ACE Tempest Re Bermuda as SVP, underwriter, in the company’s U.S. property catastrophe department. She previously served as SVP, underwriter, in ACE Tempest Re’s international property catastrophe department. Prior to joining ACE, she served as assistant actuary for XL Re Ltd. in Bermuda and actuarial analyst for Royal & SunAlliance in the United States.
