Hamilton Re Names Skerlj as Chief Risk Officer

Hamilton Insurance Group, a holding company for Class 4 P&C reinsurer Hamilton Re, has promoted Peter Skerlj to the position of chief risk officer, Hamilton Re.

Skerlj has experience in analytics, actuarial skills and knowledge of the reinsurance sector, Hamilton said. He is a founding member of Hamilton Re’s management team, brings more than 17 years of experience to the role.

Skerlj began his career at Applied Research Associates, Hamilton said. He joined the (re)insurance industry in 2004 and has held roles in risk and analytics at PartnerRe Global, Lancashire Insurance Co. and Q Re Bermuda Advisors. His experience covers pricing, risk accumulation and portfolio management.
