Horizon Healthcare Services Inc., a New Jersey health insurer, has selected UP Bill Payment Solutions to for mobile, web, interactive voice response, call center, card and ACH payment options on one payment system. UP Bill Payment is a product of ACI Worldwide, a company offering electronic payment and banking applications.
U.S. insurers can grow their businesses by forging direct relationships with customers. Horizon anticipated the change, which was brought on by The Affordable Care Act. ACI will replace Horizon’s in-house payment system, resulting in a reduction in staff time spent on payment processing.
The reduced staff time spent on processing allows focus on digital usage growth. From January to July 2014, Horizon has seen a 120-percent increase in electronic bill payments among its customer base of more than 3.7 million members. Horizon’s members prefer electronic bill payments, and UP Bill Payment can meet these payment preferences seamlessly, said ACI Worldwide.
