Humana has launched a health management app for employee groups.
Goal Guru, available for iOS and Android, gathers data from the universe of health-tracking devices and other mobile apps to help users manage their overall health. Users can work with digital coaches or enter contests with other members of their employee group.
“The app allows users to socially motivate or ‘nudge’ each other to influence positive behaviors and healthy habits," says Kristine Mullen, VP of wellness for Humana. "Services like this give us valuable information on employees, their health care costs and overall employer satisfaction so that we can ensure they are receiving the best resources possible.”
The app is not tied to any specific health plan, Humana says. Groups can license it for 30- or 90-day, or one-year, contracts.
