Hyland Acquires AcroSoft from Interactive Intelligence

Enterprise content management provider Hyland has acquired AcroSoft from Interactive Intelligence.

AcroSoft, headquartered in Columbia, S.C., was founded in 1996 as a content management software provider for insurers. In 2009, Interactive Intelligence, a contact center management company located in Indianapolis, bought the company as a way to enter the insurance content management sector.

The AcroSoft branding was not used after the Interactive Intelligence acquisition until this week, when Hyland announced that it had bought the business unit.

AcroSoft/Interactive Intelligence counts 50 insurers as clients. Hyland claims 500 insurance clients out of several thousand in total.

“We are excited for AcroSoft to join the Hyland family,” said Bill Priemer, president and CEO of Hyland. “Both Hyland and AcroSoft are dedicated to content and process management technology and are focused on the specific needs of insurance providers. Together with our new colleagues from AcroSoft, we are committed to providing transformative solutions and exceptional customer service for many years to come.”
