Hyland and Duck Creek Partner

Insurers looking to automate more processes and manage more types of content are in luck. A pact announced today between Hyland Software and Duck Creek Technologies may grease those wheels.

“Insurers are looking for technology that manages their processes from start-to-finish,” Sam Mazzola, director of insurance solutions for Hyland Software, said in a statement. “To get that, they’ve realized it’s better to use the pieces of insurance software—like ECM and policy administration—that solve their problems best,  rather than relying on one vendor that claims to do it all. Technology that doesn’t address their needs, and doesn’t work together, is not just an inconvenience—it hurts the entire business. By focusing on what we do well, and integrating with vendors like Duck Creek, insurers get the best of both worlds.”

The Hyland Software and Duck Creek partnership solves a need to automate processes and manage more types of content. Insurers will benefit through abilities such as:

    •    Automating processes when exceptions occur
    •    Access to agent portals
    •    Real-time visibility into new business and other processes
    •    Rich-media storage, like audio files
    •    Content management that provides a complete customer view

“The policy administration-ECM combination is becoming a must-have for insurers today,” said John Roller, SVP of product management. “They need to manage more content types and process more exceptions than ever, all while requiring added visibility to track them. That’s where the partnership comes in. It formalizes and strengthens the existing integration between Duck Creek and OnBase—one that’s already benefitting several insurance organizations.”
