The application is live and is intended to help members increase responsiveness and new business opportunities.
"Mobile capability is becoming table-stakes in insurance. Many companies have implemented basic look-up and simple messaging capabilities," said Mike Fitzgerald, senior analyst, Celent. "Leading firms are beginning to move beyond inquiry and provide transaction processing on an 'anytime, anyplace' basis."
"Staying connected is necessary and extraordinarily important when trying to close a deal," said Clyde Owen, general manager, LexisNexis Insurance Exchange. "The Insurance Exchange mobile offering helps our expanding network of agents and brokers stay connected, stay informed and make decisions more easily from lead to close."
According to LexisNexis, the application also allows participants to obtain real-time submission status including: draft, submitted, quoted, bound, issued, declined and closed applications. Individuals can check on status details such as declination reasons, subjectivities and quote amounts, access all quotes for a submission with just a couple of taps and review all quote documents.
Agents and brokers can access the LexisNexis Insurance Exchange mobile application using the web address or download it from the Apple App Store.
